Happy Last Week of School! I can hardly believe we're here already! It's been such a pleasure to work with all of you and your sweet children. Thank you for all of your support!

We will be continuing to work on building our own individual HB websites this week. Thank you to Mr. Smith for inspiring us and getting us started!

Students also enjoyed a water safety presentation given by Mr. Nicolette last week. Enjoy the beach this summer and stay safe!

This week is full of fun and learning! Check the "Last Week" document in the Locker Section of this site for more info.

Monday is our third grade Ocean Quest field trip. This trip takes place at the Balboa fun zone area and includes a boat ride on Newport Harbor. Students should bring a water bottle as there is no drinking fountain on site. They also need a sack lunch since we will be eating in a nearby park. Remember a jacket, hat, and sunscreen since we will be outside for much of the morning.

Tuesday is Sports Day and Read-a-Thon Day. Bring your favorite books and magazines. We will be getting comfy, so bring a small blanket, pillow, and a flashlight if you'd like.

Wednesday is Movie Day.

Thursday is our STEM Top Gun competition & Game Day. We will be cleaning out bins, so please bring a large bag to carry home school supplies. Thursday is a planning day with pickup at 1:26.

Friday is our end of the year party and the 5th Grade Clap Out. Friday is a planning day with pickup at 1:26.

Lunch will be on the grass this week. Please send a towel for your student to sit on.

Please return or pay for all library and AR books as soon as possible. Thank you! Report cards will not be sent home until this is settled.

We will be working on creating a magic show using our knowledge of magnetism and electricity. If possible, we will be performing for a few kindergarten friends.

Thank you to all of our reading volunteers! There will be no more regularly scheduled reading groups this year. We will continue Literature Circles this week with Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume.

There will be no recycling this week. Thank you for participating in recycling on Wednesdays! Thank you to Mrs. Paszternak and Mrs. Glynn!

Thank you to those who have already signed up for access to your child's Seesaw account. If you haven't yet registered, please check the information in the Locker Section of this site.

Thank you for checking this website each Monday for updates. The Calendar Section will keep you posted on classroom events. The Locker Section has information to assist you. Please sign up for you! You may also want to set up Accelerated Reader test notifications, so you can keep track of your student's AR progress. The locker also has information to help you get your child started on ST Math (JiJi) and Typing Club. AR, JiJi, and Typing Club will be ongoing homework assignments.
